Who Is a Waris?

While the biological Gaddi Nasheen of Qalandar Baba (RA) is his son, Mansha Abbas Bukhari,
the spiritual legacy — the noor, the understanding, the focus — was divinely passed on to Syed Baba.
This was not done through lineage. It happened through Divine Will, through the spiritual sight of Qalandar Baba (RA), and through the depth of connection that can only exist between a Murshid and his chosen Waris. In private & public gatherings, Qalandar Baba (RA) would often refer to Syed Baba with deep reverence, making mentions that startled even him.

In the world outside, Syed Baba served as Director Programs at Pakistan Television (PTV) — Pakistan’s National Network.
He used his platform to create content that uplifted, healed, and carried truth.
In 2000, Qalandar Baba (RA) had already transferred the
“Focus of Surah Al-Rehman” into the heart of Syed Baba — even before Syed Baba fully realized it.
Only later, while producing spiritual programs on Surah Al-Rehman Therapy, did he begin to understand the depth of that divine gift.
The divine insight that has since reached millions… globally!

Since childhood, Syed Baba had been seeking the real —
not rituals, but resonance.
Though he crossed paths with many teachers,
none lit his soul like Qalandar Baba Bukhari (RA).

Syed Baba was born in 1956 in Ravi Road, Lahore, into a noble Syed family rooted in spirituality, dignity, and love for the Prophet’s lineage.
His first wife (late), Mrs. Asifa Shakir (known to followers as Maa Ji), was present during the earliest moments of his spiritual journey with Qalandar Baba (RA).
Syed Baba’s second wife, Mrs. Erum Shakir, lovingly known as MOM a renowned clinical psychologist is now a pillar of strength in his mission.
She mentors youth. Offers guidance Her presence has become a beacon for women and youth who are lost — Her discipline, clarity, and devotion to the path of Qalandar Baba (RA) have helped transform lives.
